Kort presentasjon av prosjektet:
Proposal/Contract no.: CIT2-CT-2004-505978. SIXTH FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME
PRIORITY [7] Citizens and Governance in a Knowledge based society.
Coordinated by the Institute of Childhood and Urban World (CIMU), Barcelona, Spain.

The purpose of the CA is to improve knowledge and bring into focus, co-ordinate, and channel and publicize the results of research that has already been carried out through workshops and onferences. These events will bring together researchers from different disciplines to debate and compare their research and experiences, to discuss how public policy and legal reform can ameliorate the conditions of children, and disseminate relevant research to a wider audience. Debates will hinge on the extent to which marital instability and other processes of family transformation, in contemporary Europe and in the context of different institutional and policy arrangements, can affect the welfare of children and lead to divergences in outcomes. The CA will also bring together research on the accumulation of socio-economic risks, current and past inequalities, quality of life and access to services, and the understanding of the causes of the intergenerational inheritance of inequalities.
