Call for abstracts. The fourth international Community, Work and Family Conference will take place on 19-21 May 2011 at University of Tampere, Finland. The conference will bring together around 200 social scientists and practitioners from a wide range of countries and disciplines.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The conference intends to stimulate debate on current issues, controversies, developments and cross-national research related to community, work and family and their interface. The conference focuses on a number of contemporary and emerging themes about the challenges and opportunities for communities, organisations and families that confront rapid changes and transitions, with special focus on the interactions between actors, structures and theories.

The international community, work and family conference is connected to the Journal Community, Work and Family (CWF) published by Taylor & Francis.

The upcoming fourth CWF conference is hosted by the University of Tampere and organised by the Department of Social Research. The conference site is located in Southern Finland 175 km of Helsinki and it is easily accessible.

Astract submission
The Scientific Committee invites scholars to submit an abstract. Time for submissions is from 8th March 2010 until 30th September 2010. Abstracts will be peer reviewed. Abstracts between 250-500 words should be submitted online. On the website you will find detailed instruction regarding the submission procedure. Selected abstracts will be announced by 30th November 2010.
